Position Description : Duty Station: Ankara (travel to Kayseri, Sakarya, Adana, İstanbul, Denizli, Antalya)

Outline of tasks:
• Together with the technical assistance team (TAT), and especially the KE2 (Industrial relations and social dialogue Key Expert) and the KE3 (Training Key Expert), the JNKE is responsible for the design and development of the training documents under activity 2.2
• In close cooperation with the Team Leader (TL) and the KE2, the JNKE provides input and prepares the content of the topics and prepares all training documents under activity 2.2
• The JNKE will have overall responsibility for all aspects of the design and preparing of the training documents under activity 2.2 under the supervision of KE2
• The JNKE will carry out all activities according to a given timetable in the respective provinces/cities

1. Input for the content of the workshops delivered, namely: social dialogue, unionist organisational strategy, capacity building representation; decent work. The trainers will conduct the 4 subjects in 2 training days
2. For each subject an informative document will be provided, and in parallel EU best practices should be included
3. Training methodology, agenda of the workshop, training materials and presentations prepared
4. 3-day workshop for Trade Union Staff and Leaders from HAK-IS and its Affiliates conducted and evaluation forms filled
5. Support for the workshop report provided
6. At each workshop, the content of the training materials should be improved based on the suggestions and recommendations given by the participants at the previous workshop
7. All training documents and material prepared (trainees booklet and PowerPoint slides on the topics, evaluation form, etc.)

The expert will deliver a mission report to the TL and KE2 within five days from the completion of the mission. The report will present the activities undertaken and the results achieved and the possible recommendations. The report will be delivered in electronic copy. The expert will produce all above-mentioned documents, including the mission report, in English and Turkish.
Qualifications And Skills : Qualifications and skills:
• University degree in law, labour economics, educational sciences, sociology, engineering or equivalent degree or experience in relevant subjects;
• Native-speaker level of Turkish and good command of English;
• Excellent reporting skills;
• Full computer literacy;
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team and in a multicultural environment;
• Previous experience in the region and undertaking similar assignments will be considered a strong asset.
General Professional Experience : General professional experience: At least 5 years’ professional working experience in the area of industrial relations or labour law related to training activities.
Specific Professional Experience : Specific professional experience:
• Minimum 5 years’ proven experience in relevant areas like trade unionism, social partnership, labour law training, social projects, capacity building, etc.
• Proven experience of working in projects funded by the EU or other international donors in Turkey or in the region is an asset
• Experience in delivering trainings
• Experience in conducting and moderating workshops
• Experience in designing and developing training programmes (i.e. description of the programme, training curriculum, lesson plan, assessment methods and criteria, trainer’s guidelines, etc.) and training materials (i.e. trainee’s booklets and PowerPoint slides, evaluation forms, etc.)
• Prior experience in the implementation and evaluation of training programmes
• Proven experience in leading learning groups and in adult training approach
• Previous experience working with social partners (trade union or employers’ organisations) is a strong asset
